SEALS/DIscover scuba
Take the First Step
If you've always wanted to try scuba diving, PADI's Discover SCUBA Diving is the opportunity you've been waiting for. The PADI Discover SCUBA Diving program offered by the Windy City Seals SCUBA Diving Club lets youth and adults experience the thrill of diving in the convenience of a swimming pool.
Our sessions are held at the Carver Park Fieldhouse, located at 939 E. 132nd, in Chicago. Currently, our sessions have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will resume when advised it's safe to do so by state and local officials, including fieldhouse personnel.
When sessions resume, here's what you'll need:
- Bathing suit
- Towel
- T-shirt
- Sweat socks
- Lock
- Medical and parental waivers will be required.
All equipment will be provided. The sessions are free for youth ages 15 to 18 (limit 10 per session). There is a nominal fee for adults.
